iPodRip - Pull songs off your iPod onto your computer

Please note that this information here is for the use of people whose computers have, unfortunately broken and dont want to spend days and days re-loading their music onto their computer from the CDs.

There are actually two methods in which you can do this, I am going to talk about the easiest method here.

There is a piece of software called iPodRip (Download here: iPodRip - there is also a link to this download on the links page). The method of making this work is as described below:

• Download the iPodRip file (see paragraph above)
• Plug iPod into your computer (ensure you DO NOT allow the computer to overwrite the music on your computer - read each pop-up box CAREFULLY!
• Extract the file from the iPodRip zip archive (just open the file that was downloaded)
• This has a file in it called iPodRip.msi. Double click on this file
• It will start trying to install the software now, click the following:
  • Next
  • Next
  • *It will now install*
  • Close
• You will now see the iPodRip program on your desktop. Open this
• The first time you launch, it will bring up the "End User License Agreement". Aggree to this
• This will then open up the program which allows you to rip the files from your iPod (use the recover songs button at the top)
